Position Overview
Brownfield is seeking a full-time Environmental Technician Intern for the summer season. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental consulting while working alongside a skilled and supportive team. The position includes both field and office responsibilities with travel throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain field equipment
- Assist with DOT site monitoring and documentation
- Support asbestos surveys with licensed professionals
- Perform soil and groundwater sampling
- Analyze laboratory data and assist with reports
- Transport samples to laboratories
- Assist in drafting environmental reports
Requirements
- Associate Degree or pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients and team members
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule and adaptable work style
